Patients with new coronary pneumonia need 14 days of health monitoring after discharge
The National Health and Medical Commission released the “New Coronary Virus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Plan (Trial Version 6)” with added Precautions after Discharge”.
After the patient was discharged from the hospital, it is recommended that the patients continue the self-health monitoring for 14 days due to the low immune function in the recovery period and the risk of infection with other pathogens. It is also recommended that the patient needs to wear a mask and live in a well-ventilated single room to prevent close contact with the family. Separate meals, good hand hygiene, and avoid going out are also recommended. Additionally, it is recommended to follow up and return to the hospital in the 2nd and 4th week after discharge.
