Four of the first volunteers to transplant the new corona vaccine returned home


On March 31, the first four volunteers who received the recombinant new crown vaccine on the evening of March 16 ended their isolation and observation and returned home. Before leaving Wuhan Special Service Sanatorium, four volunteers took blood again as planned.

Volunteer Jin Guanping, who has finished her isolation observation, told Peng Mei News ( that she had a blood collection on March 24, the seventh day after the vaccination. On the morning of March 31, the 14th day after the vaccination, she took another blood sample. During the period of concentrated isolation, her physical condition was normal.

Xiang Yafei, a volunteer who was vaccinated on March 19th, is still under concentrated observation at Wuhan Special Service Sanatorium. He said: “In the first three days of the vaccine, my body temperature was around 37.6 ℃ every night, and I had a low fever. Medical staff said this was normal and the body’s immune system was ‘fighting’ the vaccine. By the fourth night, the symptoms of low fever are gone. Now my body is normal. ”

Since arriving in Wuhan on January 26, a scientific research team headed by Chen Wei, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a researcher at the Military Medical Research Institute of the Academy of Military Sciences, has concentrated on emergency research in vaccine development. On March 16th, the recombinant new crown vaccine developed by Academician Chen Wei’s team passed the clinical research registration review; at 20:18 on the same day, it was approved to officially enter the clinical trial.

“Recruitment Notice for Clinical Research on Recombinant New Coronavirus Vaccine (Adenoviral Vector)” (hereinafter referred to as “Recruitment”) shows that clinical research on Recombinant New Coronavirus Vaccine (Adenoviral Vector) is recruiting volunteers. Healthy adults between 60 years of age, no history of new coronary pneumonia or infection, no history of vaccination allergy, etc.

“Recruitment” said that the research plan recruited 108 qualified volunteers, divided into 3 research groups, namely low-dose vaccine group, medium-dose vaccine group, high-dose vaccine group, 36 people in each group.

According to the “Information”, after the volunteers are vaccinated, they will be observed and rehabilitated at Donghu Wuhan Special Service Sanatorium for 14 days. In addition, researchers will collect 7 blood samples from each volunteer, mainly for antibody testing, within 7 days before vaccination, on the day of vaccination, and on days 7, 14, 28, and 3 Month, 6th month. A total of 145 ml of blood was collected from each volunteer.

Jin Guanping signed up on March 16th and was vaccinated that night after passing the medical examination, becoming the first female volunteer. Three male volunteers were vaccinated with Jin Guanping.

On March 17, the first four volunteers were arranged to live in Wuhan Secret Health Center for centralized isolation and observation. Since then, other volunteers have entered the center for quarantine and observation after vaccination.
